Rue Montorgueil, a bastion of the Parisian identity, is one of my favorite streets and home to some of the artisanal shops and cafés I frequent regularly. I go to indulge and observe, never disappointed with the theatrics that unfurl before me with each visit.
The men of rue Montorgueil are of all ages, sizes, creeds, vocations, ethnicities and styles. They sip coffee, brunch with friends, pick up provisions, handle school pick-up, talk business, flaunt their latest duds, quarrel passionately, romance confidently and smoke pensively- just like everywhere else and yet somehow, on this street, they stand apart.
Nichole (Little Brown Pen) shares my fascination with this pedestrian street and its diverse stars so we decided to showcase some of the men, big and small, that we’ve photographed over the last few months. The start of a new series, perhaps? Check out her collection of Montorgueil men HERE.
