Initially I was content to just travel through France, the place I dreamed of since I first began learning French in 7th grade. Then came the desire to see more – Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Greece, Morocco, Japan, Australia….the list is endless. The problem comes down to marital differences. Mr. Cheeseland wants to rock climb in Yosemite and New Zealand and go hiking through Asia. While I’m not averse to getting closer to nature, I prefer to explore cities and have a long list to cover. Hopefully we’ll find a way to compromise and have many years to do both but I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed with urban wanderlust after seeing this amazing stop motion video by Alex Profit, “Around the World in 2000 Pictures“.

In only 24 days, Alex takes us from Paris to Barcelona, Berlin, St. Petersburg, Shanghai, Tokyo, New York and London before ending up back in Paris. My bags are packing themselves.
